The PCR (Polymerasa Chain Reaction) test is the main test used to detect the Sars-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19 disease in humans.

This is a molecular biology laboratory test, the objective of which is to find genetic material of pathogens that can cause disease. Taking a small sample of organic material, it is potentiated and maximized, being able to identify if the genetic chain of the agent exists specifically.

QUANTITATIVE ANTIBODY TEST

This type of test detects the amount of IgM and IgG antibodies and allows you to know at what stage of the COVID-19 disease you are or, if you have been vaccinated, it can give you a reference of the antibodies you generated.

To perform this test, first a blood sample is taken from the patient that is extracted from the index finger, once the sample is collected, it is placed in the cartridge and it is waited approximately 15 minutes for the IgG and IgM to react. For the last step, specialized equipment (portable immunofluorescence analyzer) is required in which the test is inserted into the machine and in 30 seconds you have the printed result. The results that are delivered are quantitative and are interpreted as follows:
